Meet Binky

She cut her first radio spot at the age of six...and the rest is history! Okay, not exactly (although she does still have that commercial on cassette).

Binky truly began her radio career in 2006 as an intern at iHeartMedia in Grand Forks, North Dakota. After spending two semesters learning the ropes, she convinced the powers-that-be to let her stick around a little longer. After a short stint as a board op, Binky was given a chance to jump way out of her comfort zone and take her first on-air position doing weekends on 100.3 Cat Country (KSNR). Weekends on The Cat lead to weekends on sister station XL93 (KKXL), and after earning her B.A. in Communication from the University of North Dakota, Binky landed a permanent spot on XL93’s Trevor D in the Morning Show.

Binky and Trevor woke up Grand Forks together from 2010-2015, until Binky took over the afternoon drive on XL93. Along with her on-air duties on XL, she also served as production director at iHeartMedia Grand Forks and dominated the midday slot on Y93 (KYYY) in Bismarck, North Dakota. In March 2017, Binky took a position on 97.3 NOW (WRNW) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and had a brief run as co-host of The Rahny Taylor Morning Show.

When not on the air, Binky has fed her love for hip-hop by writing for blogs, including MissJia.com and Baller Alert. In her free time you can catch her shoe shopping, planning trips to Florida (her home-away-from-home), and of course, always schooling her friends and family on the hottest new music.

Today you can catch Binky still killing it in the midday slot, weekdays from 9am-2pm on Y93.
